Parasite Overview – Part Two – Week Four
Time to be honest… I did not do the liver cleanse this past week. In the previous week, I had veered far from my nutritional guidelines and ate a decent amount of foods that I shouldn’t have.
That being said, I didn’t feel comfortable jumping into the liver cleanse this past week. Instead, I focused this week on getting back into the swing of things and cleaning up my diet. The liver cleanse can be hard on the body, even if you are eating clean so I was paranoid about starting it after deviating off the diet.
I am not going to do my typical “here is what my day looked like this past week…” but know that I continued to take my supplements (e.g., morning cocktail, probiotic, Pau d’Arco and Cat’s Claw tea, garlic, etc.) daily.
How Am I Feeling?
Physically and mentally, I am tired.
This last week was the start of distance learning with my students. For those who may not know, I work with middle/high schoolers who have severe disabilities. I absolutely love my students and miss them dearly. I have been doing everything in my power to help their parents who are trying to provide for them at home. I know it is not easy for them during these times and I wish there was more I could do.
I have been getting up around 7:45am to workout and then start working. On a typical day I have been working until at least 3:30/4pm but there have been days where I’ve worked into the evening. I have been so caught up with work that I have occasionally forgotten to eat throughout the day and find myself starving by dinner time. My plan for this next week is to be more aware of my eating habits and make sure that I am nourishing my body.
Symptom wise, my skin has started flaring up a bit more. I am not sure if it is due to something I ate (when I was not sticking to the nutritional guidelines as well) or the air quality. For the past week, we have been quarantining with my parents in the Central Valley. Typically when I come home to visit, my skin does not react well to the air quality. It’s also possible that it is a mixture of both. I have still been able to avoid the steroid cream though so it isn’t too bad!
I’ve woken up a couple times over this past week with night sweats but I have also been sleeping in a different bed (and bedroom) where the sheets are different than what I am used to at home. I am not sure if the night sweats are due to being overheated in the room or if it is my body reacting to what I am eating.
What’s in Store?
Well I cleaned up my diet this week so I will ACTUALLY be doing the liver cleanse this week, I promise! In fact, I just went grocery shopping to get all the necessary fruits and veggies for it.
The liver cleanse is 5 days where I will be taking supplements and tinctures. I will also be following a specific diet of fruit for breakfast and the option of soup/juice/salad (just veggies) for lunch and dinner. The fifth day is known as the “flush” day where I will follow specific diet guidelines as well as ingest Epsom salt and 6 oz of olive oil in the evening.
Summary of Current Health:
- Weight – I am currently at my parent’s house and they do not have a scale
- Mild skin inflammation/itchiness
- Night sweats
